School Improvement Partners
Our EdTech: Where are we now? research findings confirm this.
The biggest takeaway from our findings so far is that technology readiness is inconsistent – across different EdTech Elements within schools, and also between schools nationwide. There are digital divides, everywhere, of all shapes and sizes.
Some schools have outstanding provision for digital safeguarding, yet need work understanding their staff’s digital capability. Some Trusts excel with using technology for leadership and management, yet may be a little behind in use technology for learning, whilst most have different profiles at different schools.
Each organisation is unique in its needs, and so requires unique support to improve.
School Improvement Partners help.
What is a Naace School Improvement Partner?
A School Improvement Partner is a Naace accredited organisation, trained by our experienced community to help schools use technology for school improvement. It’s a privilege and an honour to work with Naace as an independent education charity with forty years of heritage.
The framework used to share this support is our EdTech Review Framework (ERF), used by 14,000 schools since its inception over 25 years ago.
By helping a school, or a Trust, understand where it is now across all EdTech Elements in the ERF, the next step for a School Improvement Partner is to deliver targeted support for improvement.
Strategic planning and targeted development bring about efficient, effective improvement. And ultimately, this means a school can undertake a Naacemark Assessment and become a Naacemark School – verifying excellence across all areas.

Who can become a Naace School Improvement Partner?
Anyone who oversees and supports the technology across multiple sites; notably a Trust, a Local Authority or a Managed Service Provider (MSP) providing IT support services to schools.
Is there a cost to becoming a Naace School Improvement Partner?
You’ll need to undertake training, delivered by our experienced assessment team, for one, or ideally two, individuals at your organisation. There is a cost to this detailed training – approximately £950 – depending on the location and the size of your organisation.
Additionally, schools undertaking this improvement need to be members of Naace, providing them with full access to our online EdTech Review Framework tool. The cost for this is £100 per school per year.
For MATs, LAs and MSPs, we provide significant discounts when multiple school memberships are purchased up front by your organisation.
